Who is Thirsty John’s?

Thirsty John’s has the world's best variety of both local and international beverages.  From the very hard to find single malt, to the excellent every day drinking wine or soft drink, we can deliver it quickly and safely where ever you are.  

Where do we deliver?

We endeavour to be your best pocket store nationwide. As we add stores across the country, we will be able to conveniently deliver to you no matter your location. We only deliver in the vicinity/area of the store to ensure fast and safe service. We encourage you to order from the closest store.

What kind of products do you sell?

Our stores stock all kinds of drinks categories, foodstuffs including Thirsty John’s branded items sourced locally and internationally.

How do I find out whether a product is available in a Thirsty John’s Store?

Please use the search function online or on the app. The product detail page for any product will include where the item is stocked and shows all stores carrying the product. Please note that, as the data is updated periodically, we recommend you contact us in advance to verify availability.

What if I place an online order on a product that is out of stock?

Your order is pulled as soon as we receive your order. If we are out of a product, we will contact you immediately to help you find a suitable substitution.

Do you offer Discounts?

Yes, Thirsty John’s and its partner stores will from time to time offer coupons which can be used to receive discounts on purchases.

Do you charge a delivery fee?

Thirsty John’s does not charge delivery for pickup orders. Delivery orders however, will incur a set delivery fee.

Do I need to pay extra taxes?

All prices include all required taxes unless new taxes become effective.

What type of payments do you accept?

We currently only accept M-Pesa and Cash and will rollout secure card payment in the near future. We currently do not accept PayPal, Bank transfers, cheques, foreign currency or payment methods not supported locally.

Do you offer refunds?

Although we don’t offer refunds, please let us know if you have any dramas with your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

When is my order shipped?

Once you place an order and it has been accepted by the local store, it is given to a rider once the order processing is complete for ASAP delivery. 

How can I track my order?

You can track your order progress conveniently online at thirstyjohns.delivery or on the android or iOS customer mobile app.   

How long will it take to receive my order?

Because Thirsty John’s works with local stores, riders take the shortest route to your location and we endeavour to have your order delivered within 45 minutes.

Do you deliver to a P.O Box?

We currently do not ship to a post office box.

Do you deliver to businesses and corporations?

Yes, we can do delivery to organisations within the delivery radius.

Do I need to be present to receive my package?

Yes, but in the event you are not present all alcohol deliveries will need to be received by a person of 18 years of age and above.  Thirsty John’s will not deliver items if we suspect the recipient is not of legal drinking age or posses a risk to our riders and might ask for proof of age.

What if I am not satisfied with my order?

What are your hours of operation? 

You can place an order within the local stores operating hours which vary location to location. We're available to answer your questions and help you find the perfect bottle every day of the week. 

What happens if I'm not home to receive my order or my recipient is not available when you deliver?  

The delivery person will try multiple times to reach you when you're not available to receive the order and may call to reschedule.  If they are unsuccessful, they will return the package to the local store where it can be picked up or redelivery can be arranged.  We can send the package back but with a delivery fee (same fee as your original order) or we can return the products to stock and give you a refund after a 25% restocking fee.  

What personal information of mine do you keep on file?

We retain your purchase history (approximately one year), your name as well as the address/es, phone number and email that you have provided us during signup. We do not store your credit card or payment information. We only use your personal information for our purposes, and we do not sell or share this information with anyone else. Please refer to our privacy policy for more details on how Thirsty John’s handles your information.

Can I cancel my order after it's completed?

Sorry, but you can't cancel an order once it's been completed.  For a refund, you can refuse the shipment and once we get it back, we will refund you minus shipping cost and 25% restocking fee. 

I need to place an order to multiple addresses, do I need to place each order individually? 

We work with many customers in helping them deliver orders to different locations. At this stage, each order will need to be ordered and delivered separately. Please contact us if you have any difficulties.
